Bob Crystal is the CEO and founder of IFRSIMCLUB a division of Simulator & Instrument Training Center. Bob has been in the business of pilot education for over 30 years. Instrument Training Center was the first advanced flight training center to operate simulators on the West coast on Van Nuys Airport since 1975. The company has always had the highest standards with the best equipped maintained fleet of aircraft and simulators on Van Nuys airport. We are known as the training center where Experience makes the difference. Bob holds an Airline Transport Pilot license with single & multiengine with Cessna Citation type ratings in 500, 525 & 560XL. He has trained with Flight Safety. As a published writer, pilots are familiar with his magazine articles in Plane & Pilot, Twin &Turbine and IFR refresher magazines.

As a dedicated instructor Bob has been awarded the CFI of the year in 2001 & 2007 for the FAA Western Region. Additionally he is very active as a lead FAAST team instructor, instructing in advanced training, IFR, instrument refresher, TAA transition ,CRM, decision making, risk management. As a movie pilot Bob flew numerous segments in the production Runway16 right, and ABC wide world of flying.

Mission Statement

A pilot’s training is only as good as the training experience. The instructor is the key to a pilot’s proficiency. The IFRSIMCLUB a new approach to IFR training taking hold all over the country, is designed to give pilots the ability to attain UNLIMITED training in the latest state of the art single and multiengine (including glass) simulators, with Professional experienced instructors or pilot’s may bring their own CFI. The best part of the program is pilot’s only pay a monthly membership fee for unlimited simulator time. There are programs form Student pilot ,through IFR, CFI & ATP, with specialized training to fit every pilot’s requirements and at a third of the cost.
